It's Nearly Thanksgiving ... Do You Have Your Pie Recipe?

Swedish Apple Pie
from the kitchen of: My Dear Friend Barbara

1 9" unbaked pie crust (make your own or use store bought)
2 - 3 peeled and sliced tart apples (this is where I tell you I use Macs exclusively for all my baking)
1 T sugar
1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
3/4C butter, melted
1 C sugar
1 C flour
1 egg
1/2 C each, raisins and walnuts

Preheat oven to 350.

Fill pie crust 2/3 full with apples. Sprinkle with the 1T sugar and cinnamon.

In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients and spread evenly over the apple mixture.

Place on center rack of oven and bake for 45-50 mins.

Serve warm (or cold) with ice cream or whipped cream. Serves 6 - 8*

*unless you eat it all yourself ... and you might be tempted!

I'm trying my hand at making up a new recipe for cranberry apple and cranberry apple blueberry tarts for tomorrow.
