You should keep your kitty in because he is beautiful.
Black. Sleek. Shiny. Fluffy. Green Eyed.
You should keep your kitty in because he will get
Ticks.
You should keep your kitty in because he will be
Eaten by a coyote. Or worse, a fisher cat.
You should keep your kitty in because he definitely
Upsets my indoor kitties when he stands
Wailing at my patio door.
You should keep your kitty in because I fear
The dog next door is going to
Break that chain one day.
You should keep your kitty in because he will or
Could get rabies.
You should keep your kitty in because it is
A dangerous world out there for
Sleek, shiny, fluffy, green eyed, black kitties.
You should keep your kitty in because if
You love him you want him snuggled
All warm and next to you at night as you sleep.
You should keep your kitty in because he
Is going to get into really big trouble
If he stalks, hunts, catches and kills another of my birds.

Have you room for another kitty? Obviously this one doesn't have a very good "Mom..."
How old do you think this kitty is? I would take him in but we have this silly rule. 2 cats equals 1 dog until we find larger home. Come to think about it, I think we have that rule so I don't end up like my mother:)
I don't think this kitty has a very good 'Mom' because everyone knows that here, you should keep your kitty in.
That being said, he is as handsome and healthy looking as mine. So he is well cared for and fed (even if his menu is wild birds in Kathy's yard).
I would love to take him in, but like Karin, two cats = one dog which means I have two dogs ... and I won't go over the two dog limit. He's a little skittish and although my bark sounds ominous, I'm out there, "tsk, tsk, tsk, here little kitty. C'mon now, you know you want too." And then he runs off.
If I could just figure out which neighbor he hails from I would probably go over and have a nice neighborly chat about coyotes and fisher cats.
And Karin ... I cracked up laughing ... at your rule, because your mother has just gotten two more cats!
If you find out who he belongs to, slipping a copy of this post under the door might just do the trick.
I do keep my cat in, for all of those reasons. But I feel badly about it and wish he could go out and play.
I don't believe in any "pets" being left outside. Poor things.
Well, I keep Pema in, but I let Briege run my life & sometimes she gets out. I will try to do a better job.
Thank you for the Thanksgiving Day card. I hope you & your family have a wonderful, loving day.~Mary
Thank you Mary for popping in!
